12th International Hydrogeological Conference

Groundwater resources in an ever-changing environment

Τhe Association of Geologists and Mining Engineers of Cyprus in collaboration with the Hellenic Committee of Hydrogeology extend their warmest welcome to all international scientific community, researchers, students, government officials and experts dealing with all aspects of groundwater resources to participate in the 12thInternational Hydrogeological Conference. The Conference will be held under the auspices of the Honourable Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment of the Republic of Cyprus, Dr Costas Kadis and it is supported by the Geological Survey Department of Cyprus and Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ETEK).

The conference will take place in Nicosia (Lefkosia), Cyprus in October 22nd to October 23rd 2020, at Cleopatra Hotel. On Saturday October 24th, a post conference geological field trip at the UNESCO Global Geopark of Troodos, a unique world geological heritage natural site, will be organised.

The conference envisages in convening people from academia, private and public sector, dealing with all aspects of groundwater. It aims in gathering and disseminating knowledge and good practices on dealing with increasing pressures and challenges on groundwater resources, protection and management, in our ever-changing environment driven by climate change.
